Guess it's time to christen the Programming section. Favourite programming language, and why.

For me, Java. First high-level language I've properly learned, it's used a lot, and I just like the syntax. Lua's pretty good too but I'm nowhere near as good, same story with C#.

C# is amazing, especially when working with Unity. I haven't touched C in a while, and I also like to dabble in a bit of Python occasionally.

kurozael Python's indentation requirement scrambles my brain despite the fact that I'm a bit particular when it comes to proper indentation. It's a good language, but I just can't use it. If you're after something similar, Ruby's a good shout.

Eli Ruby is good fun! And the indentation based scoping is different but when you get used to it, it’s okay 😂

I enjoy PHP myself. Currently learning the Laravel framework for my University capstone project. Saves so much time once you learn how to properly use it.

I'd participate in this but I don't really know coding outside of lua and perhaps html, so.

Aspect Still viable. Lua's a programming language, and HTML's tag based but still within the development sphere.

C# is one of my favorites, but I've worked with PHP for so many years so I'm having a hard time deciding.

Aberidius If I had the opportunity, realistically, I'd do everything with C#!

Haskell. It's a functional, highly abstracted language that compiles directly to machine code, and with the GHC compiler has little to literally nil overhead. It's faster (or relatively the same speed) as C++, and doesn't have any runtime type checking like Java. The common adage for it is it works with the 'how' as opposed to the 'what' when considering the programming. It's a perfect fit for things like Euler and sieve computations. It is a highly recursive language however, so a lot of garbage collection occurs with it.

JavaScript for me is a better programming language , because ECMAScript 6 is really cool. I like to write server applications in Node.js.
